Dr Kevin Moore

From 1997 to 2017 Dr Moore was the Director of the National Football Museum for England. He led the creation of the Museum and its progress to being recognised as the world’s leading football museum, attracting 500,000 visitors a year.

Kevin has been a keynote speaker at many major football conferences around the world. This includes the World Football Culture Summits, organised by IFI in partnership with the Chinese Football Museum. The Summits are funded by the Chinese Government, from the Office of the Deputy Premier.

As Deputy Director of Curatorial Affairs, Dr Moore led the creation of all the content for the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, which opened in 2022. He also holds a number of academic and professional roles, including:

  • Honorary Visiting Research Fellow at the International Centre for Sports History and Culture at De Montfort University
  • Visiting Faculty, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak, India.
  • Editorial Board Member, Soccer and Society, the world’s leading academic journal on soccer.
  • Special Advisor to the Linzi Football Museum in Linzi, Zibo, People’s Republic of China (the Chinese football museum).
  • Communication Ambassador of Cuju Culture , Linzi, People’s Republic of China.
  • Ambassador of Friendship, Shandong Province, People’s Republic of China.
